TANWP Presents: "One Leg at a Time" Charity Drive

Location
Beluga Martini Bar
3115 Piedmont Road
Atlanta, GA
More Info
TANWP - The Action Not Words Project is hosting a CD Pre-Release Listening Event and you are invited!

In conjunction with and for the benefit of The Atlanta Union Mission, our hopes are to collect 300 pairs of gently used slacks for the homeless men served at The Shepherd's Inn. Dig in those closets, pull out those slacks and join us!

After the success of our underwear/socks drive for Father's Day, the Atlanta Union Mission expressed a desperate need for slacks to enable their homeless men to dress for job interviews assisting in their self esteem and overall transition success! We answered YES - because it's what we do!

We have partnered with The PR Experience to offer you a pre-release listening feast of their upcoming CD: "Three Faces, One Name!"

Come on out to meet trumpeter Nelson Render, and trombonist Marvin Pryor who are known and loved for belting out an innovative mixture of melodies and harmonies that reflect a smooth style of Jazz, Funk, and Neo Soul!

Enjoy $5 Martini and Wine specials offered by our hosts - Beluga Bar along with complimentary appetizers in their private and sexy Blue Room!

Once again we roll out the Red Carpet compliments of the "Style Connoisseurs" at Spotlight Boutique!

Join us for an evening of "Grown Up Fun" and have a hand in creating a miracle for a man who needs one!

Cartridge World Recycles Ink Cartridges

One way you can reduce pollution is to recycle ink cartridges instead of throwing them away.

Did you know?

  • It takes a gallon of oil to make a new laser cartridge
  • In North America, over 350 million cartridges are thrown out each year
  • It can take as long as 450 years for a cartridge to decompose in a landfill

You can make a difference for the environment and a charity of choice by getting involved with Cartridge World's ink cartridge recycling program. Here is more information.

Charity that help reduce our landfills

We throw away a lot of things that can be used by people in need, and these perfectly usable stuff fill up our landfills. This issue is also a sanitation problem and can be reduced. Many old books are thrown away and can be used by people in developing nations. Books for Africa collects book to distribute in countries in Africa, and here is the link of what they accept and what they don't.

Medshare International needs medical supplies

MedShare is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving healthcare and the environment through the efficient recovery and redistribution of the surplus of medical supplies and equipment to those most in need. They collect surplus medical supplies and equipment from hospitals, medical distribution companies and individuals, and then redistribute them to qualified healthcare facilities in the developing world. They also outfit medical missions and safety net clinics in both the U.S. and abroad.

Here are some of the items that are needed, as medical supplies are also important for sanitation too. There is a link that has a more exhaustive wish list
